Facebook’s news feed is the main arena which grabs most of the eyeballs and as you grow your Facebook profile by adding new friends and liking new pages, This space gets filled with non sense. You no longer get to see what your friends are up to but are instead fed with uninteresting news updates from Fanpages and dozens of memes and trolls filling up your homepage.
You can always opt out of receiving updates on your news feed from a particular person or page by unsubscribing from their updates.
But now Facebook has decided to spice up their algorithm by taking feedback from you and knowing more about how much you love or hate different posts on your news feed.
The Facebook News Feed Survey option asks you to rate different posts that are currently visible on your News Feed on a Scale of ‘Strongly Disagree’ to ‘Strongly Agree’. You are shown 10 different posts and are asked if you want to see more posts like this on Facebook. You need to select a star from the five stars given..
Once you finish these 10 posts, You can either quit and continue with your facebook activities or Rate more posts. I assume the more posts you rate, The better the algorithm gets at knowing what you want on your News Feed. So do it as much as you can and you will get a merrier facebook news feed.
Here is how you can access the Survey option.
