The much awaited budget friendly iPhone 5C featuring a (cheap) plastic case and the usual aluminum coated iPhone 5S series of Apple iPhones are set to be released on 10th September. This news comes from AllThingsD who have had spot on record of reporting such events earlier.
The next version of the Apple iPhone 5 rumored to be named as the iPhone 5S is said to feature a 12-megapixel camera with dual LED flash, higher resolution screen, fingerprint sensor, faster processor and more.
But the hype is all about the iPhone 5C which is the budget iPhone release by Apple, There have been many leaks about this skeptical iPhone especially because no one believes that a company like Apple will manufacture low quality products between their premium range of products.
But one thing that makes this real is the dipping market share Apple is facing amidst the low cost-high performance Androids hitting the market. This forces Apple to grow its customer base by providing low budget iPhones.
Of course there are the regular trustworthy leaks across the web, The latest of which is a HD Video of the iPhone 5C Front And Back Panels.
Also there have been images of the iPhone 5C’s 8 Megapixel camera sensor.
And here are the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C side by side images leaked not long ago.
From the images above, the device looks to be comprised mainly of polycarbonate, The Gorilla Glass and anodized aluminum finishes of the normal iPhones will be scrapped to save costs. Also the final public version of iOS 7 is expected to be released on the same day in the same event.
From various blog sources, the average price of the cheaper iPhone 5C is said to be $499 which is almost the same as the cost of iPhone 4S. Would you rather go for a new iPhone 5C with cheaper make or a premium iPhone 4S? The only thing that might put you in dilemma is iOS 7 which would run smooth on an iPhone 5C and also the long term support for 5C.
What do you think about the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C? Is iPhone 5C worth its purported cost?
