BlackBerry had announced that it will be launching its popular BlackBerry Messenger aka BBM on the two most popular Mobile platforms i.e Android and iOS. The company had opened up a page for email notification when the app arrives in their respective App Stores. Later the company announced that over 2.5 million people had signed up on the page, Which gives us a sense of how demanding the service seems to be.
As of now, BBM has been made available for iOS and it is rolling out for different countries based on the time zones I guess. Blackberry had not been in favor of introducing the messenger to other platform in an attempt to keeping it exclusive the BB customers but the company has seen its shares drop after the entry of popular messaging apps like WhatsApp and Viber.
BBM has roughly 60 Million users compared to WhatsApp’s 300 million monthly users.
Here is a screenshot of the BBM on iOS.
