Different DVD Copy Modes Explained.
1. Full Disc :
Full Disc copies the whole content of DVD to another DVD or to a folder you specify in the Target box.
2. Main Movie :
Main Movie copies the longest movie title in the Source DVD to the folder or another DVD.
3. Split Movie :
A Split Movie copies a DVD-9 sized discs to two DVD-5 discs with 100% quality maintained.
Step 1. Insert your DVD-9 Disc, Choose the default Optical Drive where your DVD resides in the DVD Copy Split Menu Source.
Step 2. Choose the amount of data on the two discs by using the Drop down menu in the Split Chapter section.
Step 3. The lower right corner just above the start button will display the size of both the discs so assign accordingly.
Step 4. Click on the Start button to start the splitting process.
Step 5. After the process is completed you will get two folders in your Output folder namely Disc_1 and Disc_2, Just burn these files as a normal disc into your DVD 5 discs.
4. Customize :
Customize lets you add your own stuff to the DVD you want to copy.
Step 1. Insert your DVD or select the Folder/ISO source.

Step 6. Click Next > Choose the DVD-5 or 9 > Start.
5. Customize Split :
You can specify the Playback order, Chapter length, Subtitle regions and other options just like Customize option I described above but along with this, You can split the titles into two discs and assign the sizes of both the discs using the Customize Split option
On clicking the Start button, The split and customize will occur and the file is saved in two folders like Disc_1 and Disc_2 which can be burned using the Full Disc option.
6. Clone :
Lets you make an exact clone of your source DVD to a folder or another DVD.
This option lets you make exact copy of your Source DVD with minimal Fiddling.
You can choose the Source as Optical Drive and Destination as an ISO image or Drive but not a folder.
Two options are provided:
1. Copy DVD-Video Data only : Used to prevent copying of other assisted contents like Autoplay executable and lets you make a clone of only the Movie file.
2. Copy Original IFO Files : Copy the Source disc as it is without removing any assisted files or Removing protection.
7. Merge :
Lets specify different Titles from different sources and merge them into a single writable file.
Its better to copy your DVD files to your HDD before starting the merging process unless you have two Optical Drives as you cannot pop in another DVD while the merge is in process. (also reading from HDD is faster)
Step 1. Load the source files one by one using the ISO or the Folder options (order doesn’t matter).
Step 2. Customize your Title selections or other customizations and press the Next button.
Step 3. Choose the Title Playback order using the Up/Down buttons.
Step 4. Click on Start.
Note : You won’t have any Menus on the merged disc.
8. Write Data :
Write Data burns an existing DVD folder or (ISO) image file from your Mac to a blank disc or can also be used to convert a DVD folder to an ISO disc image file.
DVDFab DVD Copy Mac is the only tool that you need to manage your entire collection of DVD’s from making Backup ISO’s to burning them to other copies. DVDFab also has another great tool for DVD users, a DVD Ripper for Mac.
