The Facebook F8 Conference is nearing and there are already major revelations of features that are to be added to Facebook. Though the information is sparse and probably leaked. The words sound good!
There is a Facebook F8 Developer conference to be held at San Fransisco, California. Where Facebook is set to announce new features and additions.
The following are what sources have listed as new features:
- Music & Film Ticker.
- Profile Redesign.
- Facebook Music Player.
Music and Film Ticker.
Music & Film ticker will share your activity once you opt in to the service, showing friends what you’re listening to, watching and reading. It’ll be separate to the news feed, though very popular items will show up in the latter as well.
There will be major profile redesigns and the sole aim of the changes is to make your profile more sticky & make you spend quality time in there.
Facebook Music Player.
Facebook’s multimedia platform was long expected & is expected to launch at this F8. The music player will include a Facebook dedicated player which will stream music tracks and let you share them with your friends regardless of the subscription type.
The music service is said to be partnered with Spotify and facebook will not be directly hosting the content on their servers unlike Google & Amazon.
The Facebook F8 conference is scheduled on 22nd September 2011. So there wont be a long delay in tasting these features (if they are true).
