Keywords are the key factors of Search Engine Optimization. Choosing good keywords is the success formula and Choosing bad keywords can end your websites online life.

Here I will list the characteristics of a good keyword.

What Are the Characteristics of a Good Keyword.

• Exact Search Hits Per Day should be Minimum 150.

• Put your keyword with Quotes(“…”) in the google search engine, A good keyword is one with Less than 30 – 50K Search results.

• Keeping the search results of above add the “&start=990” string to the end of Address Bar after the google search result URL.
  Like this : http://www.google.com/ae5a5da9bafcd&start=990
  This will show the total number of pages containing your keyword, The Less the number of pages = Less number of Competition.
• Replace your keyword in the format and search in google.
  intitle:”YOUR KEYWORD HERE”
  This will show you the number of competitors who have done SEO on the keyword, Anything less than 30000 search results is Good Keyword.
• Do the same as above with the following string.
  inurl:”YOUR KEYWORD HERE”
  Anything less than 30K results is Good Keyword.
