Facebook finally lets you edit your personal status updates as well as your facebook fanpage posts/status updates, Editing your status update was not something that was long demanded on Facebook but due to the potential dangers of switching statements it was not enabled before. But now with the advent of Edit History, that problem has been solved.
You must have already got the option to edit your comments on Facebook posts, After editing you get the edit history on the comment. This shows the previous comment along with the time and the new edited comment. The same has been enabled for Status updates now.
The edit history evades the dangers of people switching statements like he/she could have posted “Who wants to go on a cruise?” people would like and comment affirming that. Later he/she could edit the statement to something like “Who wants to be a pirate?”. The people who liked and commented will be unaware of the fact that the status has completely changed.
Anyways now to edit your facebook post, All you have to do is:
Step 1. Click on the arrow on top right corner of your status.
Step 2. Choose Edit.
Step 3. Make your changes then click Done Editing.
You would be able to see your changes by clicking the ‘Edited’ link below your name in the status.
That was it, Now you can edit your facebook status at your will but remember that people who see your status will be able to see your edit history too. Share this post with your friends on Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus.
