Dropbox is one of the best Online Cloud Storage system which offers Synchronization to almost any device like Android,iOS,PC etc. But dropbox offers limited space to free members who can start with 2GB of free storage which can be expanded upto 8GB via reffering others and other simple tasks. Methods to Increase Dropbox Storage Space –
1. Referral Method.
For every person you invite to Dropbox via your referral link, Both of you gets 250MB of storage for free. The referral system works until your free account has reached the limit of 8GB. You can share your referral link via Facebook,Twitter etc and gain referrals.

Are you a student from a university or school which provides you with an .edu Email address? Then you can double your Dropbox space since Dropbox loves Schools 😉

5. Beta Testing.
You can get upto 4.5GB of extra space on your account just for testing their beta dropbox application and uploading some photos or videos to your account.

Steps for Windows:
Step 1. On windows, Download and install the Dropbox application (Restart if you are upgrading a previous version).
Step 2. Put some Photos on your Pendrive or SD Card.
Step 3. Open Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Auto Play and then change the default value of Pictures to “Import Pictures and Videos using Dropbox“.
Step 4. Remove and Re-insert drive with photos and they will be automatically uploaded to your account and you will get a Notification that your Space has been increased. After uploading 3-4MB of photos, My space got increased by 500MB.
Troubleshoot: If the photos are not getting detected automatically, Put the photos in a folder named DCIM on the SD Card or Pendrive.
Steps for Android:
Step 1. Download the .apk and transfer it to your android, Install it > Open.
Step 2. Login to your account by entering the dropbox password and email in the application.
Step 3. You will be guided through screens asking you to Upload the Photos and Videos.
Step 4. If you want to turn off the camera upload feature, Go to settings by pressing the menu button and click on Turn Off Camera Upload. From the settings you can also choose the upload method i.e via Wi-Fi or Data Connection of carrier.
