Linking Domain Name and Server.
Once you have bought a Domain name and the Hostgator Web Hosting, You need to link your Domain Name to the Web Hosting Server. Following procedure will help you with that. I am taking the example of Namecheap (as Domain registrar) and Hostgator (as Webhost).
Step 1. Login to your Hostgator Cpanel using the details they provided in the welcome email after your purchase.
Step 2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and look for the Nameservers column under Account information heading in the left column of the page > Copy those Name Servers and paste in a new notepad.
Step 3. Login to your Namecheap Account and go to the following URL (after replacing YOURDOMAIN.COM with your domain name eg: ABCD.ORG/ABCD.COM)
Step 4. Paste in the Nameservers from notepad to the boxes there after choosing ‘Specify Custom DNS Servers’.
Step 5. Hit Save changes.
The below step should usually work almost instantly but if it fails, Wait for an hour or two and proceed. This due to the DNS propagation delay.
Step 6. Open your Hostgator Cpanel > Click on Addon Domains under Domains heading.
Step 7. Fill in the boxes as follows and hit Add Domain.

Theme Installation and Free & Paid Themes.
Themes are installed in a similar manner to that of plugin, Just head over the theme search or upload page and install them. Themes option is inside the Appearance dropdown above plugins tab in the WP Dashboard.
WordPress has a gallery of thousands of free themes for you to install. You can filter through them using your preferences. Head over to WordPress Themes page.
Paid themes are generally preferred by serious bloggers who want to give their blog a unique look. I use the Genesis Theme Framework on this blog which is a paid wordpress framework. You can find more paid themes in my Toolbox and Resources page.
Next you should head over to the Settings page and configure them according to your needs.
If you have any doubts about the installation procedure, Just ask them below via the comments and I will try to answer them as soon as possible.
