As I had earlier written about the Android Device Manager, A new application/service launched by Google to track your stolen or misplaced android device. Google had announced that the service will be live by the end of this month, But it has already arrived on tons of devices. Here is how you can use the service to track and retrieve your lost android device.
Just a recap of the things you can do with the Android Device Manager.
- Ring the phone at maximum volume to locate a misplaced phone nearby, Even if your phone is in silent mode.
- Locate the phone on Google Maps in real time. You can track your phone on Map and find it if you don’t remember where you left it.
- Securely wipe your entire phone to stop private information on your device from getting in wrong hands. This can be used if you are sure your device has been stolen and cannot be recovered.
