In this tutorial, I will use the popular Hit the Dot game. The game has a countdown timer and several radio buttons. You have to click on the highlighted radio button quickly in order to gain a point and it has a 30 second time limit. We will increase the time limit to 60 seconds (or anything else).
Lets get H4ckin!
Step 1. Open Hit the dot game and try the game by clicking on the Start Game | Stop Game. You will see that there is a 30 seconds countdown timer, After it runs out you will get a popup showing your score.
Step 2. Now open Firefox (works in chrome too but I prefer FF) > Install Firebug addon > Restart Firefox.
Step 3. Open the game > Press F12 button > Go to the Script tab > Click on ‘Reload to see all sources‘.
Step 4. Scroll down to gamelength=30; line and right click > Edit breakpoint condition > Type in gamelength=60; and press Enter.
Step 5. Now click on the Start Game | Stop Game button and you will see that the timer will start countdown from 60 seconds.
That is it, Just implement the same technique on other games. Look through the source code to find the timer value (or other stuff) and set a breakpoint condition and run the game.
