Amit Agrawal is the first Professional Blogger from India, He has worked hard to maintain a Blog that is ranked among the Top Technology Blogs in the world.
Amit Tweeted On 27th June:
“Labnol was hacked y’day night.. things look OK now”
Now again today, Amit had to face another Hack Attempt which was much worse and deleted all the sites he maintained. The Websites under his Digital Inspiration Network are: labnol.org, blogschool.in,digitalinspiration.com. When accessing his site, They all return the same error which is 404 files not found etc.
Today, Amit had tweeted the following:
“Difficult times. Hackers have deleted all my websites.”
Although he says the website files were deleted, We all hope he has proper backups of all the files and the site returns to normal state asap. He is a real inspiration to thousands of bloggers.
This is not the first time Amit has faced hack attempts, In 2009, his Google Apps account was hacked and in February 2011, a hacker managed to gain access to his Facebook profile and in turn, all his fan pages.
Being a Labnol Fan myself, I couldn’t resist being cut off from the site’s previously published gems (articles). So I opted to access the site through Google’s Web Cache.
As Labnol is a very popular website, Not only among users but also among Google Spiders. His website is thoroughly indexed and cached which helps us to access the site through Google’s web cache.
To access any site through Google Webcache use the following URL in the address bar.
To make the site links easier to navigate, I have made a Greasemonkey script to redirect all 404 errors of live URL’s on Labnol to corresponding Google Web Cache URLs.
To Install the Script, Follow:
Step 1. Install Greasemonkey Addon: [Firefox | No need of extension in Google Chrome]
Step 2. Install my Script from this [LINK]. Click on the ‘Install’ button.
Step 3. Go to Labnol.org or any page on Labnol.org and it will redirect it to the Google Web Cache of that page.
Update : Labnol.org is under the restore process.
You can edit the script and replace the labnol.org with any other site to get the same effect. Feel free to Share the script if you liked it.
