Snapchat users must know that a recent vulnerability in the Snapchat Android & iOS API (most likely) has allowed a website to leak around 4.6 million Snapchat usernames and phone numbers. The website in topic is SnapchatDB which was setup just yesterday and is providing an option to download the list of all the 4.6 million usernames, associated phone numbers to all visitors.
In order to prevent abuse, the website owners have censored the last two digits of the phone numbers. But they say they might leak the complete data in case Snapchat fails to improve their security. The website claims that the whole hack and leak was meant to raise awareness about the security holes in Snapchat.
SnapchatDB provides the leak dump in two formats SQLDump and CSV Text. But currently those who attempt to download the file will experience 503 Service Unavailable error. This may be because of the excessive traffic or some other reasons.
